For sale are small Pink Pulsing Xenia marine soft coral frags. Perfect for beginners and nanos.
What
you see in the pictures are examples of the larger corals we had for sale. Currently we have lots of smaller polyps. We are selling loose polyps which are smaller than pictured but at really cheap prices for beginners wanting to get started. They are loose, so they won't be fragged and they are free floating. When we properly attach these to rock frags we will list them at their normal price. These specials typically only have 4 to 6 polyps. Light is supplied by white, 10K and 460nm blue marine lights. Items
will be posted on Monday to Thursday, see shipping below.
The pulsing Xenia (Heteroxenia fuscescens) is a great beginner coral.
They have unique and beautiful pulsing tentacles, when in carpets can be mesmerising. Once established, they can spread widely, with exuberant growth
and can be successfully propagated. Most people have them growing with
ease in their tanks. They require good water parameters, however as long as the basics are in check they will do well. They can benefit from keeping the alkalinity above 8dKH and can be seen pulsing stronger when the parameters are ideal.
They are not aggressive in that they don't reach out and sting nearby corals. They same basic rule for soft corals vs hard corals must be observed, they must just be kept from getting too close to hard corals. I have them live directly next and on top of Kenya Trees, Mushrooms and other soft corals and they do not bother them.
Our corals are already firmly attached to a small
substrate as pictured to aid easy attachment to any other rock in your
aquarium or in the substrate.

Shipping:
Post is by insulated package via Royal Mail 24 Tracked. In cold weather we will pack a heat pack to keep the temperature warm. Please request your preferred
delivery date to guarantee you will be available to receive the item
when the post man delivers it or have a safe delivery space for parcels.
If we do not receive a message as to your preferred post date, we will
post on the next working day after payment. Message us during payment or after your purchase if you want to choose your
delivery date. Items are only shipped after payment.
The last
shipping day of the week is Thursday. If orders are placed during
Thursday, Friday or the weekend those orders will be shipped on Mondays
(excluding bank holidays). This avoids the coral getting stuck in
transit over the weekend if it is not delivered on Saturday.
Most
corals will be look shrunken on arrival. This is normal as they will
contract under the stress of transport. After they acclimatise to their
new home they will expand properly. This can take anywhere from a
couple of hours to a few days to happen.
Returns policy:
Report any DOA's on the day of arrival by messaging and attached
photos to receive a refund or replacement.
Acclimatisation:
Always acclimatise marine organisms with care. Switch off aquarium
lights, remove pot lid or open bag and float in aquarium water for at
least 30 minutes to allow the temperature to equalise and add an airline to circulate the water. During the
acclimatisation process slowly drip water into the bag or pot. It is
recommended to acclimatise over at least 2 hours. Do not add the water
from the transport bag.
