- Species: Rhodactis Indosinensis

The Rhodactis Indosinensis is a resilient and visually striking species, perfect for both beginners and experienced reef enthusiasts. It thrives under medium to high light conditions but can also tolerate lower light levels. While it benefits from occasional feeding with powdered foods, fine frozen foods, or marine pellets, it's not strictly necessary, as it will also absorb free-floating nutrients in the water.
This coral requires trace nutrients like phosphate and nitrate, which are typically managed by a well-established biological filtration system in your tank. It's an excellent pioneer coral, ideal for kickstarting a new aquarium setup, as it helps stabilise the system. I've had great success with this species in my own aquariums, where it has thrived and reproduced beautifully.
Suitable for nano to large aquariums, the neon green hairy mushroom coral is a versatile and captivating addition to any reef environment. However, it's important to note that this coral can be quite aggressive. As a soft coral, it has the ability to sting other corals and should definitely be kept away from hard corals, as it can harm or even kill them.
Care Tips:
- Placement: Place the coral on a stable surface or secure it gently to your aquascape to prevent it from being dislodged.
- Water Flow: Provide moderate water flow to ensure the coral receives adequate nutrition and to prevent the buildup of detritus.
- Compatibility: This coral is generally peaceful but can be aggressive towards other corals, especially hard corals. Monitor its interactions with neighbours to ensure harmony in your tank.
